Major Danish funder of research - the Danish Council for Independent Research - signs the Berlin Decleration.

Chairman of the Independent Research Jens Christian Djurhuus says:

- By signing the Berlin Declaration, we mark the Council's commitment to strengthen the sharing of scientific knowledge. Open Access is a crucial instrument in this work to the benefit of Danish and international research, interdisciplinary research and - not least - the private companies who will have better opportunities to boost innovation and thereby economic growth.
