4th Open Science Fair 2023 – Call for proposals now open!
Keeping the dynamic spirit of the first and second Open Science Fair shown in Porto (2019) and Athens (2017), OpenAIRE and key organisations dedicated to Open Science developed a four-day program to bring people together virtually. From 20-23 of September 2021, the participants had the chance to suggest ways to work together and produce roadmaps to implement Open Science.
Two years after, we are able to once again meet in person and we are proud to co-organise the 4th Open Science Fair with our Spanish NOAD, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
Starting from 1 July to 31 Dec 2023, Spain will hold the presidency of the Council of the European Union, becoming the focal point of EU policy development and thus providing an excellent opportunity for the Open Science Fair to bring together key actors and perspectives for the implementation of Open Science.
OS FAIR 2023 Theme: Charting the course: Reimagining Open Science for future generations
The primary goal of the OS FAIR's fourth edition is to contemplate the future of Open Science and determine how to work together to pave the way for future generations. The conference aims to unite individuals from various communities and backgrounds worldwide to identify areas of collaboration, share successful practices, and create the space for collaborative interfaces. The conference programme will include dynamic workshops, innovative demos, engaging lightning talks and posters as well as distinguished keynote speeches and thought-provoking panel discussions.
The OS FAIR will bring together a diverse group of participants, and the conference will suggest ways for these various actors to collaborate in creating roadmaps for Open Science implementation. We welcome participants from research communities and infrastructures, including librarians, content providers, repository managers, service providers, research administrators, scholarly communication innovators, learned societies, policy makers and funders, citizen science groups and initiatives.
