With open science, data science, big data and AI in its core, OpenAIRE MONITOR sets out to offer an out-of-the-box service that will support funding agencies and Research Performing Organizations understand their production, how open it is, how it is distributed across domains and regions, what are their collaborations and the trends. Based on the OpenAIRE Research Graph we have produced a configurable tool, which we hope will fill the needs of research administrators. Starting with a few indicators and by actively involving you, the community, we plan to add more and make MONITOR a trusted service for making policy decisions which will be based on our community's facts.
An updated Directory of Research Information Systems (DRIS)
Supported by an OpenAIRE-Advance open call fund, euroCRIS extended the functionality and APIs of DRIS, the catalogue of CRIS systems. This provides a missing piece in the puzzle of scholarly communication allowing the community to come around common standards. It will be used by OpenAIRE PROVIDE to certifyCRIS systems.
4Science developed two new plugins for DSpace through an OpenAIRE-Advancde open call. Bringing the OpenAIRE Research Graph a step closer to repository managers and researchers: the Data Correction and the Publication Claim both ensure that a repository stays up-to-date with new content produced by the institution's researchers. Both plugins are available for the latest DSpace and DSpace-CRIS versions.
Closing the infrastructure loop for seismic data in schools
Earthquakes are a typical kind of events that scientists measure on a global scale. But so do students! One of the problems they face is data: how to store, share and analyze.
OpenAIRE supported an ongoing citizen science project by gluing the infrastructure elements and by bringing different national players together to understand the needs, to learn from each other, to see how to move forward: EllinoGermaniki Agogi - students and teachers from Europe; the National Observatory of Athens - seismic infrastructure and knowledge; Athena Research & Innovation Center - HELIX National Data Service; EKT/Greek National Documentation Center - OA publishing.
