Join the 18th OpenAIRE Content Providers Community CallUpcoming meeting: 2nd of February at 14h30 CETThe Community Calls for Content Providers are back to present and discuss the most recent developments from OpenAIRE, upcoming releases from the PROVIDE related services and other relevant topics. Through the calls, OpenAIRE provides clear and accurate information on its infrastructure and service developments. The upcoming meeting will be an opportunity to highlight recent and upcoming developments in the PROVIDE dashboard and to present how OpenAIRE is managing and curating the Organisations information using OpenOrgs service. A year plenty of novelties and new developmentsOpenAIRE PROVIDE: wrapping up the most important developments during the past yearSince it went into production in October 2018, OpenAIRE PROVIDE has been improved and enriched with new features, aiming to deploy a stable service and to offer new value-added functionalities for datasource managers. Over the last three years the OpenAIRE technical team has been making efforts to improve and deploy new functionalities accessible through the PROVIDE Dashboard. Thanks to the Community Calls for Content Providers, the OpenAIRE technical team had the opportunity to share these new developments and to get feedback from the users, whose contribution has been determinant for some of the improvements and developments. Delving deeper into preprints in institutional and generalist repositoriesSee the results from the COAR and ASAPbio survey and what's nextCOAR and ASAPbio ran a survey of institutional and generalists repositories to understand their practices and plans regarding the collection of preprints. Preliminary results revealed that approximately two thirds of the responding repositories currently host preprints. To help the community better support preprint sharing, COAR and ASAPbio will be jointly convening a working group to better understand the challenges for repositories, develop good practice recommendations and define a strategy for advancing the collection of preprints in institutional and generalist repositories. |
