OpenAIRE AMKE General Assembly: Forging ahead

The 8th OpenAIRE AMKE General Assembly signalled a new era. It was the last General Assembly chaired by Prof. Yannis Ioannidis, from Athena Research & Innovation Centre. As of the 21 of January, Inge Van Nieuwerburgh, from University of Ghent is the new Chair of the OpenAIRE AMKE General Assembly and the new Executive Board.

The first GA for 2022, taking place on Jan 21-22, brought together virtually more than 60 participants from all over Europe to discuss recent developments, decide the next steps and set new goals for our organisation. We want to thank all the participants for attending the 8th OpenAIRE General Assembly. Everyone's contribution was important.

Building a Data Trust for Open Access eBook Usage

Open Access eBook Usage Data Trust builds an international cooperative in scholarly communications to develop policy, infrastructure and governance models to support a diverse, global data trust for usage data on open access (OA) monographs. It plans to continue its efforts via a new project until 2025. Find out more about the aims of this project and OpenAIRE’s role.

Open Science Observatory

As the number of Open Science mandates have been increasing across countries and scientific fields, so has the need to track Open Science practices and uptake in a timely and granular manner. The OpenAIRE Open Science Observatory assists the monitoring, and consequently the enhancing, of open science policy uptake across different dimensions of interest, revealing weak spots and hidden potential.

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling has developed three data repositories open for researchers from various research fields and countries. All repositories will serve as content providers for OpenAIRE while metadata will be harvested and shown by OpenAIRE Explore.

France: New Decree on science integrity to boost support for Open Science and DMPs

Few weeks ago, the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research issued a Decree on scientific integrity that changes the conservation and availability of data and source codes, the implementation of DMPs and the publication of negative results for the French public research institutions.
