Train-the-Trainer Bootcamp - The Unconference
This is an invitation-only event, open to everyone who has successfully completed any of OpenAIRE’s Open Science Train-the-Trainer Bootcamps.
About the Event
A virtual unconference (or Barcamp) is a participant-driven event where the agenda is created by you. Instead of formal presentations, we focus on networking and peer exchange—offering you a space to reconnect with your bootcamp peers and dive deeper into shared challenges and experiences.
Participants are invited to:
- Suggest discussion topics via the platform until 13/02. When proposing a topic, you are asked to provide a clear and informative title, along with a thorough description outlining the focus of the discussion and the questions or challenges you would like to explore.
- Vote for topics of interest until 18/02. You can vote for any number of topics, even if you don't end up attending the session.
Based on the votes, we will compile the final programme. A total of nine topics will be selected and organised into three rounds of parallel sessions (three sessions running at the same time in each round). Each session will last 40 minutes.
Anyone may suggest a topic. The person who proposes a topic will also act as the session chair, guiding the discussion. Each session should also designate a note-taker, as there will be no plenary reporting back to the main room. Sessions will not be recorded, to encourage open and informal exchange.
On the day of the event, we will begin at 09:30 CET. From 09:30 to 10:00, all topic proposers will be invited to give a one-minute pitch to briefly present their topic and spark interest. This will be followed by three rounds of parallel discussions:
- 10:00–10:40, followed by a 20-minute break
- 11:00–11:40, followed by a 20-minute break
- 12:00–12:40
The event will close with final remarks from 12:40 to 13:00 CET.
