Research Integrity Essentials for Early-Career Researchers
This pilot workshop on Research Integrity and Good Scientific Practice has been co-developed by OpenAIRE and Institut Pasteur within the framework of the PATTERN project. The workshop aims to introduce early-career researchers to key principles of responsible research and the practical expectations surrounding research integrity in contemporary research environments.
Target Audience and Target Level
The workshop is primarily designed for PhD candidates and early-career researchers. Participation is also open to researchers within the broader PATTERN and OpenAIRE networks across Europe.
The training is introductory level, providing foundational knowledge on research integrity and responsible research practices.
Pedagogical Scope
The workshop follows an interactive and learner-centred approach, combining short expert presentations with participatory elements. The pedagogical design incorporates principles of:
- Interactive learning, including discussion and questions,
- Flipped classroom elements, encouraging participants to explore complementary resources before or after the session,
- Digital engagement through OpenPlato, where participants can access supporting materials, participate in discussion forums, and complete short quizzes.
This training has limited capacity in order to maintain an interactive learning environment. Registrations will be reviewed and confirmed by the organisers. Participants will receive a confirmation email prior to the workshop.
