Launch: Practical Guide for Research Funding Organizations
The online launch of A Practical Guide to Implementing Responsible Research Assessment at Research Funding Organizations, developed by DORA in collaboration with the Global Research Council RRA Working Group and Science Europe.
The events will introduce the Guide and feature speakers from research funding organizations discussing its relevance in different national and institutional contexts. To support a global audience, three online sessions are available:
- Americas: Wednesday, 13 May 2026, 14:00 EDT (20:00 CEST) – register here
- Asia‑Pacific: Thursday, 14 May 2026, 14:00 AEST (06:00 CEST) – register here
- Africa & Europe: Thursday, 14 May 2026, 12:00 BST (13:00 CEST) – register here
The Guide is designed to support research funding organizations – public, private, and sectoral – in planning and taking action to implement responsible research assessment.
It follows a practical, action‑oriented approach (similar to DORA’s RPO Guide released last year) and includes concrete examples, resources, and guidance to help funders embed RRA across the funding cycle.
The Guide was co‑created with funders worldwide through DORA’s Funder Discussion Groups and an in‑person workshop held in December 2025 alongside the CeRRA Conference.
Recognising that there is no one‑size‑fits‑all approach to research assessment, it is intended as an inspirational and flexible resource that can be adapted to different contexts.
Additional information about the Guide and the events can be found at the DORA website.
