The 30th Annual STI-ENID Conference will take place from 9–11 September 2026 in Antwerp, Belgium, under the theme “Indicators for a Responsible Research Future.”

The international conference brings together experts, researchers, and policymakers to explore how science, technology, and innovation (STI) indicators can advance responsible research and innovation. Key topics include diversity, inclusivity, openness, and sustainability in research assessment and policy, as well as how STI indicators can respond to changing patterns of collaboration, competition, and knowledge exchange.

The STI-ENID 2026 Conference is hosted by ECOOM teams from KU Leuven, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), and the University of Antwerp.

OpenAIRE's Presence:

On Thursday, 10 September, from 11:00–13:00 CEST, Natalia Manola, OpenAIRE CEO, will present the poster “Open infrastructures for responsible research assessment: how the OpenAIRE Graph supports National Monitoring Reform in Ireland and Greece” at the Foyer, Aula Rector Dhanis.

The work examines how open scholarly infrastructures can support responsible research assessment through policy-oriented national monitoring, focusing on the OpenAIRE Graph and its operationalisation through national OpenAIRE MONITOR dashboards. Drawing on the Irish National Open Access Monitor and ABACUS, the emerging Greek national service for monitoring research and Open Science, it highlights how open infrastructures can support more contextualised and plural indicators for responsible research assessment.
