Advancing responsible research assessment for funders in the European digital space

This meeting brings together European research assessment stakeholders, including representatives from the European Commission, research funders, infrastructure developers, policy experts, and CoARA and ENRIO members. It examines the development and implementation of responsible research assessment (RRA) methods for digital science and AI-related research proposals to the European Commission and other funders.
With growing challenges related to algorithmic transparency, data governance, and research integrity, the focus will be on embedding ethical principles, open infrastructure, and community-centred practices into research assessment systems in alignment with the developing outputs of CoARA working groups and national chapters. It builds on expertise in research assessment and research integrity from leading scientific research and higher education organizations.
