The representatives of OpenAIRE in Greece and Cyprus continue their series of informative webinars and invite you to the first webinar of the year, focusing on the latest developments in Open Science. The presentation will be delivered by Natalia Manola, CEO of the pan-European infrastructure “OpenAIRE”.
Open Science is being implemented at a rapid pace in Europe. As a result, many innovative outcomes are coming to our countries with the aim of being integrated into the research and academic ecosystem. The webinar will present the current situation in Europe, as well as highlight the actions of OpenAIRE as a key infrastructure of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Specifically, the webinar will address European developments in terms of policies and infrastructure/services that support the current institutional framework. Additionally, the outcomes coming from OpenAIRE's contributions to significant projects and initiatives, such as CoARA, PathOS, and SciLake, will be communicated. Finally, the recently published OpenAIRE Action Plan for CoARA will be analysed, emphasising how OpenAIRE supports its members in applying its principles.

At the end of the webinar, participants will have:

  • been informed about the current Open Science actions in Europe.
  • deepened the understanding of how the outcomes of these actions can be integrated into Greece and Cyprus.
  • understood the relationship between OpenAIRE and the EOSC, as well as the projects in which OpenAIRE is actively involved.
