Denmark’s five Research Councils announce their Open Access policy

altThe Danish Council for Independent Research (DFF), the Danish Council for Strategic Research, the Danish National Research Foundations, the Danish Advanced Technology Foundation, and the Danish Council for Technology and Innovation announced their Open Access policy on June 27, 2012 to establish Open Access as the standard in scientific publishing. Final, peer-reviewed scientific articles accepted for publication must be deposited in institutional or subject repositories (subject to permissions from the journals) with six months embargo periods in health, natural sciences, engineering, agricultural and veterinarian sciences and 12 months embargo periods in social sciences and the humanities.
