For project coordinators, investigators or officers
If you are a project coordinator or principal investigator you may use the OpenAIRE services to get the aggregated project output in a format that you can use for your reporting or monitoring.
Check below for more detailed information.
You can get to a project landing page through the use of our search/browse facilities and search for your project either by the name, acronym or project identifier.
To produce a project's scientific outcome, we incorporate metadata from a range of different data sources (mainly OA repositories and journals both for publications and data, university and funder research database systems, library related databases, etc.) and try to identify all publications or data that are related to a project. When the publication full text is available, we apply advanced text mining with semi-automatically curation techniques to identify links and any related content.
If you don't see the full publication/dataset list under your project page you may do one of the following:
- Claim the publication/dataset through a manual process (through DOI, ORCID and other ids) which will complete the list. Note: if the publication is not OA and does not comply with your funder's mandate then you should follow one of the following steps.
- Deposit a pre- or post- print version of the publication or the dataset in an OpenAIRE compatible repository (i.e. one that supports links to funding) and the publication will appear in our next harvesting instance (varies with repository, from weekly to monthly).
- Deposit in an Open Access repository that is harvested by OpenAIRE and then manually claim the publication or dataset as described in above.
In the project landing page AppBox there are additional apps that help research administrators export and communicate the project scientific output lists. Use an OpenAIRE provided HTML snippet in any html page to showcase a project's aggregated and de-duplicated scientfic outcome. You can see existing examples in: CORDIS for project LIQUIDPUBLICATION or in projects' web sites Euro-Basin (under Research->OA Publications) and Prime-XS.
You may also export the publications/dataset lists in a csv or html form and use in any internal/external reporting, monitoring or information exchange.
OpenAIRE enables services that allow real-time statistics calculations and reporting mechanisms that take into consideration various cleaning, tranformation, de-duplication and link inferal mechanisms.
We currently employ the following statistics on the project level, but as more data becomes available and we apply further cleaning and transformation mechanisms we will be able to get additional facets (we are open to other ideas, so do not hesitate to contact us).
