EOSC - a tool for enabling Open Science in Europe
OpenAIRE is happy to be a signatory to a joint statement with the Science Clusters and eInfrastructures signaling the importance of making EOSC relevant for scientific communities and researchers. Integration of relevant research support activities in the EOSC Roadmap is crucial.
The following points were highlighted:
Research oriented services: An inclusive and FAIR research eco-system
Trust based open access: Regulation light and free to access resources
Collaboration support: By nature EOSC is a community-led enterprise, it must be kept that way
Sustainability: A plan is needed for long-term support for EOSC from the EC Member States
OpenAIRE is fully committed to the success of EOSC and will work concertedly to support the roll-out of EOSC and its success, in particular leveraging the OpenAIRE network on the ground to support Open Science.
