Working Group
EOSC WG
Description
As EOSC progresses towards greater operational maturity, the role of national infrastructures and policies for research becomes increasingly important in ensuring its long-term success. OpenAIRE serves as a pillar infrastructure to EOSC with the OpenAIRE Graph and its involvement in EOSC-related projects and the EOSC Association that contribute towards its realisation. The OpenAIRE 4 EOSC WG plays a crucial role in bridging national efforts with broader EOSC objectives and fostering knowledge exchange within members.
This WG is part of the Outreach, Communication, and Engagement (OCE) Standing Committee and has been formed to facilitate discussions on national alignment with EOSC, to define the role of OpenAIRE members and NOADs within the EOSC ecosystem, and to promote interoperability and best practices of research data and services. By strengthening national engagement, the working group fosters knowledge exchange and actively communicates developments from EOSC-funded projects in which OpenAIRE participates. Additionally, it maintains regular updates from EOSC-A Task Forces and Opportunity Area Groups, especially those led by or involving OpenAIRE members.
The OpenAIRE 4 EOSC WG meets bi-monthly, on the first Friday of the month at 11.00 CET. The discussions focus on:
- Updates from EOSC-A Task Forces & Opportunity Area Groups
- Developments in EOSC-funded projects
- EOSC implementation within OpenAIRE member countries
