The first wave of EOSC was driven by EU-wide projects, e-infrastructures, and international networks; notably, OpenAIRE and RDA.  Member States (MS) and Associated Countries (AC) have started to embrace the EOSC vision and act in order to make it real. What could and should the role of the OpenAIRE Members/NOADs be in this? How can members/NOADs meet the demands of the changing landscape? How can we help clarify the members/NOADs’ positioning within the EOSC context? How is this positioning related to OpenAIRE core services, or members’ local services?

The EOSC WG is part of the Outreach Communication and Engagement Standing Committee and has been formed to discuss the potential new role of NOADs and the EOSC implementation at national level. The WG members meet regularly and are split into three groups to engage in focused conversations about technical and practical issues pertaining to OpenAIRE and the EOSC. Elli Papadopoulou, in her capacity as the Chair of OCE SC, is running this Working Group.
