OpenOrgs Sprint: Curating Research Performing Organisation Affiliations

Identifying research organisations accurately is not a trivial task. They often exist under different names and IDs across various sources, which complicates information sharing, research discovery, tracki mong activities, and linking academic communications. To address this challenge, OpenAIRE has developed OpenOrgs, a service that streamlines and clarifies research organizations' affiliation data.
OpenOrgs resolves duplicate and ambiguous records, improving the accuracy of organizational data within the research landscape. By combining automated processes with human curation, it ensures clear organization identification, making information more accessible and institutions easier to find and recognize.
Join us for an online interactive session where you'll learn about OpenOrgs' role in data integrity and receive expert training on essential curation tasks. Led by the Curation Board team from the Ruđer Bošković Institute, this session will provide both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining research organization data. The program features dedicated breakout rooms for both new participants and experienced curators.
