FAIR Research Data Management: From Principles to Practice

This two-hour online pilot training, organized jointly by OpenAIRE and DANS, is designed for senior researchers, project managers, and RDM professionals (intermediate/advanced level) to deepen their understanding of FAIR Research Data Management (RDM) and apply best practices in Open Science.
Using a blended flipped-classroom approach, participants will engage with self-paced learning modules (OpenPlato, Sessions 1–3) before the live session, ensuring a strong foundation in FAIR principles and RDM fundamentals. The synchronous workshop will feature interactive discussions and hands-on exercises using ARGOS (OpenAIRE’s DMP tool), empowering attendees to translate theory into practice.
Priority registration is given to EUt+ members, though limited slots are open to external participants. To maximize engagement, participants must complete the asynchronous modules (approx. 2–3 hours) beforehand, earning a personalized Certificate of Completion. This pilot emphasizes practical skills development, equipping researchers with the tools to create FAIR-aligned data management plans and foster Open Science collaboration.
