Czech Open Science Week
As part of the Czech Open Science Week, Tereza Szybisty, Research Project Manager at OpenAIRE, will present key insights from the PathOS project, which explored the impact of Open Science on society, the economy, and research, on Tuesday, 11 November from 13:00 to 13:20 CET.
Participants will be introduced to the project’s main outputs, including the Open Science Impact Indicator Handbook (a set of indicators for assessing Open Science impact), a framework for cost–benefit analysis of Open Science practices, and findings from extensive studies on academic, societal, and economic impact. Through case study examples, the presentation will illustrate how these tools can be used to measure the benefits of Open Science and support strategic decision-making.
The event is part of Open Science Week, a nationwide initiative established in 2023 by Czech university libraries within the Open Science Working Group of the Association of Libraries of Czech Universities.
