We are pleased to announce that the guest speaker of this webinar is legal expert Prodromos Tsiavos, Legal Adviser of "Athena" Research & Innovation Center and OpenAIRE.
The GDPR complexity resulted in the need to better understand the regulation’s provisions and how it is applied in the research conduct, also in line with Open Science. The purpose of the webinar is to analyze important issues surrounding the application of the Regulation at all stages of the research lifecycle. More specifically, the webinar will examine the following:
Short bio of the speaker:
Prodromos Tsiavos is a Legal Adviser at Athena Research & Innovation Center and OpenAIRE. He is also the head of the digital policy and development department at Onassis Stegi and a visiting researcher at University College London / Media Institute. He studied Law at the University of Athens and in London and management of information systems at LSE. He holds a PhD in Law and Information Systems from LSE and has done postdoctoral research in technology regulation at the University of Oslo. He has published more than 150 publications and presentations on open technology, data science, policy and strategy for intellectual property and innovation.
