About
Gönül Kafalı Can graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio and Television, and subsequently completed the Management Information Systems in the Distance Education Department of Anadolu Üniversity. Maintaining her commitment to lifelong learning, she is currently pursuing her studies in the Department of Visual Communication Design in the Distance Education Department of Anadolu Üniversity.
Following her experience in various television channels, Gönül Kafalı Can worked at the Dokuz Eylül University Library and currently serves as an Instructor at the Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) Library. In the past, she held various responsibilities within the Anatolia University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS), including managing databases and contributing to working groups such as ANKOS Academy, Public Relations, and Open Access and Institutional Repositories.
Kafalı Can has contributed to various stages of OpenAIRE, a key European Union open science project, and continues to serve as its National Open Access Desk (NOAD) for Türkiye. Her international project experience continues with her ongoing roles in European Union-funded projects, namely PATTERN and DIRNA ("Developing Research Capacity through Institutional Repository Network in Azerbaijan").
