Heading towards Horizon 2020: Open Infrastructures for Open Science Workshop
Apr 9, 2018
e-Infrastructures play a key role in promoting Open Science, OpenAIRE is one of them. The European Commission, in coordination with Member States, is investing in the realisation of e-infrastructures that support Open Science by enabling extended collaborations, sharing of resources and data-intensive computing.
A consultation workshop on "Open Infrastructures for Open Science" will be held in Rome at the Academia dei Lincei, on 11-12 April 2012.
The purpose of this workshop is to feed ideas into the preparation of the EU’s new framework programme for research and innovation, Horizon 2020, to run from 2014 to 2020 and more specifically in the part on "Excellent Science" that concerns the development of e-Infrastructure.
The consultation workshop is preceded by an event on Open Science organised by ALLEA (ALL European Academies - Federation of 53 National Academies of Sciences and Humanities in 40 European countries).
