From principles to practice: Building the future of Research Assessment

How do we turn the ideals of responsible research assessment into everyday reality? At the OSFair 2025 in Geneva, OpenAIRE, IOI, and the CoARA OI4RRA Working Group joined forces in a hands-on workshop to explore just that. Using the Open Infrastructure Checklist, participants tested real tools, shared feedback, and co-created a roadmap for infrastructures that make change possible.

Fresh insights, real collaboration, and a shared mission: to build open, trusted systems that truly reward responsible research.

NEW BOOTCAMP
FAIR RDM Bootcamp: Join the movement of the future of responsible Data Stewardship

Building on the success of our Open Science Trainers Bootcamp, we are launching a new FAIR Research Data Management (RDM) bootcamp for data stewards this October, marking a new step in strengthening Europe’s data stewardship capacity. In collaboration with the Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS), the University of Minho, the University of Latvia, and the University of Belgrade, this four-day hybrid programme combines live expert-led sessions, hands-on case studies, and self-paced learning through OpenPlato.

Designed for early-career professionals, the bootcamp covers the full research lifecycle, from metadata and FAIR principles to legal, ethical, and governance aspects, powered by OpenAIRE services.

TRAINING
The new EOSC EU Node Learning Center

The EOSC EU Node has launched its new Learning Center on OpenPlato, helping researchers navigate the EOSC EU Node, from finding resources to using computing for advanced data science.

It builds the skills and confidence to make the most of EOSC. Here, users can seamlessly access both step-by-step tutorials and in-depth courses, and they can even work towards earning certificates and badges.
