Short Bio:
Gina Pavone is a research fellow at the Institute of Information Science and Technologies of the Italian National Research Council in Pisa. She works on Open Science and Open Access to Research Data, her activities range from the definition of strategies and tools for supporting and training researchers to the dissemination of OS activities and initiatives. She coordinates the Italian portal on OS (open-science.it), is currently working as the National Open Access Desk (NOAD) for OpenAIRE for Italy and is one of the coordinators of the RDA node in Italy. She holds a master's degree in publishing and writing from Sapienza University of Rome and completed a master course in big data analytics & social mining at the University of Pisa. She has written for several newspapers and worked as a data journalist and data analyst, focusing on open data and public data analytics and the use of open data for transparency projects of institutions and public administrations.
