Ioanna is a Technical Project Manager at OpenAIRE and a Research Associate at Athena Research Center in Greece. She leads cross-functional teams building indicators and platforms for research monitoring and Open Science uptake, most recently the Irish National Open Access Monitor. She also coordinates multi-partner Horizon Europe projects, including PathOS on Open Science impact and an upcoming project on reproducibility (REWIRE). With a background in econometrics, a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, MSc from LSE and BSc from Brown, and research experience at the Max Planck Institute, she brings a quantitative lens to questions about how (Open) Science works and how to make it work better.
