Iro Bournazou is a professional with a strong background in creative fields and communication areas. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's from NABA University in Creative Advertising, Iro combines a rare combination of professional experiences that form a deep understanding of modern communication tools and social media channels.
Currently, she serves as the Communication and Social Media Specialist dedicated to providing creative solutions and managing the communication channels of OpenAIRE. In her role, Iro is responsible for driving the strategic development and delivery of a diverse range of services pertaining to the preparation of social media content to support and enhance the organization's brand and operations. She monitors, posts and analyzes social media channels to build a powerful and loyal community of followers and enhance the organization's interaction with the audience.
Recently, she helped with the coordination of FECYT, Madrid Open Science Conference 2023, by managing the comms coverage, the smooth execution of interviews and the formation of social media strategies. Moreover, she is helping with the direction of the creative team members such as photographers and videographers. While based in Milan, Italy many of the services she oversees have a global reach, supporting the international community of Open Science. Notably, her portfolio includes international Awards (One Show- Young One's Student Award- Golden Pencil) and past experiences as a copywriter, Co-editor and young strategic planner.
