Loek is involved in European projects and taskforces to promote FAIR data and Open Science (FAIR IMPACT, Skills4EOSC, PATTERN, Knowledge Exchange). He strongly believes that community engagement and education are critical for behavioural change in academia. That is why he supports the national and international network of grassroots Open Science Communities (OSC-NL, INOSC) and Open Science education.
