CSIC

CSIC_smThe CSIC team consists of members of two research groups of the Center of Humanities and Social Sciences: The Cybermetrics Lab headed by Isidro F. Aguillo and the Scimago research group directed by Felix de Moya.

The Cybermetrics Lab is small group devoted to the development of web indicators for description and evaluation of R&D activities. They were one of the first groups to launch the new discipline of Cybermetrics or Webometrics, being the editors of the electronic journal Cybermetrics that appears in 1997. Since 2004 they publish the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, now being part of a series covering Repositories, Hospitals, Research Centers and Business Schools. Since 2000 they took part in more than 50 International and Spanish Conferences, Seminars and Workshops worldwide and published 30 papers in high impact factor journals. They have also experience with EU funded projects, including the coordination of EICSTES (www.eicstes.org) and the participation in WISER (www.webindicators.org), both from 5th Framework Program.
