Open Science Coordination in Finland led by TSV promotes national dialogue on the objectives and means of open scholarship. The coordination is strongly based on the cooperation of the entire research sector.
CSC – IT Center for Science is a non-profit company owned by the state and higher education institutions. CSC provides services for the needs of higher education institutions and research. An effort is made to be open and ensure interoperability in the provision of the services.
The Academy of Finland is a key source of funding for scientific research in Finland. It promotes the principles and practices of open science and its goal is to make the outputs produced and used in research quickly and widely available for reuse.
FinELib is a consortium of Finnish universities, research institutions and public libraries. It negotiates e-resource license agreements for the Finnish scholarly community. The central goal of the FinELib consortium is immediate open publishing of scholarly publications.
Library of Open Educational Resources (Aoe.fi)is a joint service of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finnish National Agency for Education that compiles open educational resources (OER) into a single view shared by all levels of education. As of autumn 2019, the service allows users to save their own OER and associated data.
