Our partnerships
OpenAIRE and VRIJE UNIVERSITEIT AMSTERDAM
By co-developing OpenAIRE Guidelines and fostering open access practices, this partnership aims to build a global network for sharing open science infrastructure, improving the accessibility and trustworthiness of research. Through this three-year initiative, OpenAIRE and NSLC will enrich academic collaboration and strengthen global open science practices.
The partnership between OpenAIRE and VU Amsterdam focuses on integrating VU's research outputs into the OpenAIRE infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the OpenAIRE Monitor Dashboard. VU Amsterdam benefits from enhanced visibility and access to comprehensive data analytics, while OpenAIRE expands its presence in the Dutch academic landscape, promoting Open Science practices.
The collaborative efforts include several key areas of activity:
- OpenAIRE Monitor: Both parties actively support repository managers in utilizing the services provided by the OpenAIRE Content Provider Dashboard, such as UsageCounts and Broker services, and enhance the use of the OpenAIRE Institutional Monitoring Dashboard.
- Amnesia: Data protection and anonymization efforts are streamlined using the Amnesia tool.
- ARGOS: VU Amsterdam leverages the ARGOS online instance to create machine-actionable DMP templates, localize editors if needed, and publish data linked to Zenodo communities. Information from trusted OpenAIRE sources is incorporated into DMPs and added to MONITOR Dashboards.
- OpenAPC: The partnership explores business cases for Diamond OA, with VU assessing what data it needs to provide for optimal engagement with OpenAPC, as well as evaluating the integration of OpenAPC data into the Monitor Dashboard for better insights.
