OpenAIRE Conference - Presentations online!

Dec 4, 2012

The OpenAIRE conference was held on 21 - 22 November at the University of Göttingen. Presentations are now online.
Links to the video clips and statement are also available including the video message by Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commission

The conference presented the results of the OpenAIRE project which supports the European Commission’s FP7 Open Access Pilot.  It featured a picture of the open access & supporting infrastructure landscape in Europe and offered views ranging from researcher’s views on scientific information, to the role of data infrastructures, research institutions and funders.

The two-day programme, and the venue, Pauliner Kirche, Göttingen State Library, also allowed a fitting context to Horizon 2020, where open access will be a general principle for all European research programmes.

150 international delegates attended the conference.
