On 30 May 2011, the European Commission held a public hearing on access to and preservation of scientific information in Luxembourg. OpenAIRE partners contributed to the discussion and submitted a statement with recommendations.

Recently, OpenAIRE has also contributed a response to the consultation about the European Commission's Green Paper on a Common Strategic Framework for EU Research and Innovation Funding, which can be found here.

The consultation and the hearing will serve as input for an EC communication about scientific communication in the digital age which will be released later this year.
