OpenAIRE and Elsevier collaboration
Knowmad Institut, a European Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies on Human Rights and Science, and OpenAIRE will collaborate to offer to the research community discovering services to a selection of research products in the domain of Human Rights, Sustainable Development, Ethnobotany, New Technologies, Special Populations and Drug Policy.
Funders want to assess the impact of their programmes, but it’s challenging to systematically link publications to their funding source. OpenAIRE and Elsevier are working together to mine the acknowledgement sections of published articles and link them to funding data. OpenAIRE, funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, is focused on supporting openness and transparency by linking publications with their creators. This project helps to ensure that the OpenAIRE platform is enriched with article data and Elsevier’s platforms is enriched with funding body connections.
