OpenAIRE embraces POSI principles
May 25, 2022
Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure (POSI) offer a set of guidelines by which open scholarly infrastructure organisations and initiatives that support the research community should be operated and sustained.
For more than ten years, the OpenAIRE team builds infrastructure with a focus on communication workflows and provides state of art services to facilitate sharing, tracking, monitoring and discovery of research outcomes.
The validation exercise has shown immediate benefits of POSI principles, as the self-auding process brought up positions that were never formalized or claimed publicly, and today we are happy to share with all the Open Science community!
OpenAIRE meets almost all POSI criteria for Governance, Sustainability and Insurance and officially becomes a POSSE. Our team commits to working systematically to align with all POSI criteria and ensure that scholarly infrastructure remains open. For all.
More details about the status of implementation by OpenAIRE can be found in the self-auditing table.
