OpenAIRE Guide for Repository Managers
Register your repository in OpenDOAR
Before you validate or register your repository with us, we need you to register first in OpenDOAR, an authoritative worldwide directory of academic open access repositories.
If you are already registered in OpenDOAR, proceed to the next step.
Test compatibility with OpenAIRE
To continue you need to make your repository OpenAIRE compatible to the OpenAIRE Guidelines, which now have three flavours:
- Guidelines for literature repositories (previously known as the DRIVER guidlines) which aim to help you export OA content in a standardized manner. These include fields for funding information, extended to cover funding information beyond FP7 or EC.
- Guideliens for data archives/repositories which aim to help you export content in a DataCite compatible form.
To do this you need to validate your repository through OpenAIRE's web validator tool.
Below you will find plugins for some of the popular repository platforms which allow you to include funding information in your content.
