During our latest EC project phase (OpenAIRE2020, running from Jan 2015-Jun 2018), each of OpenAIRE’s 33 National Open Access Desks will be holding a National Workshop on Open Science themes in their home country. These outreach workshops, in every EU country and beyond, focus on the uptake of EC Open Access and Open Data policies in each country, discuss national policy and infrastructure interoperability, and aim to broaden the Open Science agenda more widely. They are targeted at a range of stakeholders including researchers, infrastructure providers, research administrators, and EC project coordinators.
The recent conference season has seen a wealth of these events, with eight workshops taking place across Europe in just the last six weeks. These local events have been valuable in advancing the aims of alignment of policies and technologies for Open Science across Europe. Reports are now available, along with recordings where available:
