Four keynote by distinguished speakers, 3 round table discussions, 17 workshops, 36 lightning talks, 12 demos, more than 1300 registrants from more than 80 countries with one goal: to foster local and global Open Science communities.

This year Open Science Fair 2021 (OSFAIR2021), the international event for all topics related to Open Science, aimed to bring together and empower Open Science communities and services, identify common practices, look for the best synergies, build services that work for many, share experiences from all around the world and give all participants the chance to learn from each other.

Keeping the dynamic spirit of the first and second Open Science Fair shown in Porto (2019) and Athens (2017), the organizers developed a four-day program to bring people together virtually. From 20-23 of September 2021, the participants had the chance to suggest ways to work together and produce roadmaps to implement Open Science.

OSFAIR2021 was organized as an emblematic initiative of OpenAIRE, co-organized by key international initiatives in the area of Open Science: COAREIFLFORCE11LiberLa ReferenciaOPERASSPARC and SPARC Europe

On behalf of the organizing committee, we want to thank all the participants for joining this year’s OSFAIR and sharing their views on topics we care about.

Last but not least, we are pleased to announce that the videos and the presentation of the #OSFAIR2021 are now available on YouTube: and Zenodo:

Looking forward to seeing you all again at #OSFAIR2023!
