Sandra holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with a strong scientific background in biomedical research focusing on cell biology and neurodegeneration. Transitioning from lab-based research to scientific project management, Sandra has dedicated her career to combining her scientific expertise with her passion for science communication, outreach and open science. She has a proven ability to build and foster scientific communities through strategic event planning and execution, as well as championing open science initiatives. Her international career includes diverse roles at research institutions and non-profits across New York, Copenhagen, and Granada.
