Sciences Po

Mission

Sciences Po is committed to promoting open, accessible and reproducible science by supporting the free dissemination of research results and guiding researchers towards responsible research practices. Through its Open Science Roadmap, the institution promotes transparency, integrity and sharing of publications, data and methods, in line with national and European policies.

Contribution to Open Science

Sciences Po developed its institutional repository, SPIRE, in 2011 to support Open Access. Since 2023, researchers have been depositing directly in the HAL national open archive , and since 2022, the institution also hosts its own research data repository, data.sciencespo.

Goals and objectives

Sciences Po aims to support researchers in adopting increasingly open practices, while respecting the specificities of each discipline. A key objective is to use the CIVICA alliance to share experiences, promote innovative ideas and build communities of practice within each partner university, thus strengthening a collective and sustainable approach to Open Science.
