Measurement of leading proton and neutron production in deep inelastic scattering at HERA

DESY-HERA. Measurement of semi-inclusive structure functions (F2) in deep inelastic positron proton scattering with a leading baryon (proton and neutron). The data come from a special trigger in the 1995 and 1996 running periods using proton and neutron calorimeters in the forward spectrometer. The data covers theQ**2 range 2.50 to 50 GeV**2 and x from 0.00006 to 0.006.

National Health Interview Survey on Disability, 1995: Phase I, Person and Condition Data

The purpose of the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) is to obtain information about the amount and distribution of illness, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of health services people receive. The National Health Interview Survey on Disability (NHIS-D) Phase I was administered at the same time as the 1995 NHIS core. The NHIS-D was designed to collect data that can be used to understand disability and to develop public policy on disability. Another...

Eighty Years of Observations on the Adjusted Monetary Base: 1918-1997

Richard G Anderson; Robert H. Rasche (1999)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
Recent trends in empirical macroeconomic research embedding long-run relationships between seasonal cycles and business cycles and building endogenous growth models, along with the interest of policymakers in inflation targeting, have increased the importance of long-time series of macroeconomic data. Among the more important time series are quantitative measures of monetary policy, such as the adjusted monetary base. Previously published data for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis adjuste...

Forward jet and particle production at HERA

DESY-HERA. H1 Collaboration. Study of Forward Jet and Particle Production in the Low x Region. Data comes from 1994 running period. Integrated luminosities are 2.8, 2.0 and 1.2 pb-1 for jets, PI0 and charged particle production respectively.

Measurement of open beauty production at HERA

DESY-HERA. Measurement of the cross sections for open beauty production in electron - proton collisions. The data come from the 1996 HERA running period and have an integrated luminosity of 6.6 pb-1. The observation of the b-quarks is through their semi-leptonic decay to muons.

Characteristics of Five-Coordinate Nickel−Cysteine Centers

Monomeric five-coordinate nickel−cysteine complexes were prepared using anionic tris(3,5-disubstituted pyrazolyl)borates (Tp* - and TpPhMe-) and l-cysteine (ethyl ester and amino acid forms). Tp*NiCysEt crystallizes with a single methanol of solvation in the monoclinic space group P21:  a = 7.8145(18), b = 24.201(6), c = 7.9925(14) Å; β = 117.991(16)°. [Tp*NiCys-][K+] and TpPhMeNiCysEt show magnetic and electronic characteristics similar to Tp*NiCysEt, so that the trigonal bipyramida...

Chemical Speciation of the Uranyl Ion under Highly Alkaline Conditions. Synthesis, Structures, and Oxo Ligand Exchange Dynamics

The tetramethylammonium counterion was used to suppress formation of insoluble uranate salts, M2U2O7, and allow for a detailed structural and spectroscopic characterization of UO2(OH)n2-n (n = 4, 5) under highly alkaline aqueous solution conditions. Single crystals of [Co(NH3)6]2[UO2(OH)4]3·H2O were obtained by cooling a dilute solution of Co(NH3)6Cl3 and UO2(NO3)2·6H2O in 3.5 M (Me4N)OH to 5 °C. The asymmetric unit contains three distinct UO2(OH)42- ions, each displaying a pseudo...
