Dutch Parliamentary Election Study, 1998

Aarts, Kees; van der Kolk, Henk; Kamp, Marlies (1999)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
This survey focuses on the Netherlands Second Chamber parliamentary election of May 6, 1998. Part 1, Main Study, contains data from the first wave of interviews conducted before the election (March 30-May 5, 1998) and after the election (May 11-July 4, 1998), and a self-completion questionnaire given to respondents at the end of the second wave. Topics addressed during Wave 1 included: the respondent's interest in politics, the most important problems facing the nation, government policy sati...

National Health Interview Survey on Disability, 1995: Phase I, Person and Condition Data

The purpose of the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) is to obtain information about the amount and distribution of illness, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of health services people receive. The National Health Interview Survey on Disability (NHIS-D) Phase I was administered at the same time as the 1995 NHIS core. The NHIS-D was designed to collect data that can be used to understand disability and to develop public policy on disability. Another...

Eighty Years of Observations on the Adjusted Monetary Base: 1918-1997

Richard G. Anderson; Robert H. Rasche (1999)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
Recent trends in empirical macroeconomic research embedding long-run relationships between seasonal cycles and business cycles and building endogenous growth models, along with the interest of policymakers in inflation targeting, have increased the importance of long-time series of macroeconomic data. Among the more important time series are quantitative measures of monetary policy, such as the adjusted monetary base. Previously published data for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis adjuste...

Parameters of the Earths orbit for the last 5 Million years in 1 kyr resolution, supplement to: Berger, A; Loutre, M-F (1991): Insolation values for the climate of the last 10 million of years. Quaternary Science Reviews, 10(4), 297-317

Berger, A.; Loutre, M-F (1999)
Publisher: PANGAEA - Data Publisher for Earth & Environmental Science
New values for the astronomical parameters of the Earth's orbit and rotation (eccentricity, obliquity and precession) are proposed for paleoclimatic research related to the Late Miocene, the Pliocene and the Quaternary. They have been obtained from a numerical solution of the Lagrangian system of the planetary point masses and from an analytical solution of the Poisson equations of the Earth-Moon system. The analytical expansion developed in this paper allows the direct determination of the m...

Forward jet and particle production at HERA

DESY-HERA. H1 Collaboration. Study of Forward Jet and Particle Production in the Low x Region. Data comes from 1994 running period. Integrated luminosities are 2.8, 2.0 and 1.2 pb-1 for jets, PI0 and charged particle production respectively.

British General Election Panel Survey, 1992-1997

Heath, A.; Jowell, R.; Curtice, J.K. (1999)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
The 1992-1997 British Election Panel Survey contacted a sample of registered British electors a total of eight times, the first wave being just after the April 1992 general election and the final wave just after the May 1997 general election. The aim of the study was to investigate individual-level stability and change in political attitudes, economic and social circumstances, and voting behavior over the lifetime of the 1992-1997 Parliament. A wave of data collection was carried out each spr...

Geochemistry of Late Paleocene thermal maximum sediments, supplement to: Thomas, Deborah J; Bralower, Timothy J; Zachos, James C (1999): New evidence for subtropical warming during the Late Paleocene thermal maximum: Stable isotopes from Deep Sea Drilling Project Site 527, Walvis Ridge. Paleoceanography, 14(5), 561-570

Thomas, Deborah J.; Bralower, Timothy J.; Zachos, James C. (1999)
Publisher: PANGAEA - Data Publisher for Earth & Environmental Science
The late Paleocene thermal maximum (LPTM) was a dramatic, short-term global warming event that occurred ~55 Ma. Warming of high-latitude surface waters and global deep waters during the LPTM has been well documented; however, current data suggest that subtropical and tropical sea surface temperatures (SSTs) did not change during the event. Conventional paradigms of global climate change, such as CO2-induced greenhouse warming, predict greater warming in the high latitudes than in the tropics ...

National Hospital Discharge Survey, 1996

United States Department of Health and Human Services: National Center for Health Statistics (1999)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
The National Hospital Discharge Survey (NHDS) collects medical and demographic information annually from a sample of hospital discharge records. Variables include patients' demographic characteristics (sex, age, race, marital status), dates of admission and discharge, status at discharge, final diagnoses, surgical and nonsurgical procedures, dates of surgeries, and sources of payment. Information on hospital characteristics such as bedsize, ownership, and region of the country is also include...

Charmonium production in deep inelastic scattering at HERA

DESY-HERA. Measurement of charmonium production (J/PSI and PSI(2s)) in elastic, quasi-elastic and inclusive reactions at Q**2 for 2 to 80 GeV**2 and photon-proton CM energy (W) 25 to 180 GeV. The data come from the 1995 to 1997 runningperiods with a total integrated luminosity of 27.3 +- 0.4 PB-1, with 27.5 GeV p ositrons interacting with 820 GeV protons.

National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, 1997

United States Department of Health and Human Services: National Center for Health Statistics (1999)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
The National Ambulatory Medical Care Surveys (NAMCS) supply data on ambulatory medical care provided in physicians' offices. The 1997 survey contains information from 24,715 patient visits to 1,247 physicians' offices. Data are available on the patient's smoking habits, reason for the visit, expected source of payment, the physician's diagnosis, and the kinds of diagnostic and therapeutic services rendered. Other variables cover drugs/medications ordered, administered, or provided during offi...
