Natality Detail File, 1972: [United States]

United States Department of Health and Human Services: National Center for Health Statistics (2002)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
This collection provides information on live births in the United States during calendar year 1972. The natality data in this file are a component of the vital statistics collection effort maintained by the federal government. Geographic variables of residence for births include the state, county, city, county and city population, standard metropolitan statistical area (SMSA), and metropolitan/nonmetropolitan county. Other variables specify the race and sex of the child, the age of the mother...

Fluorine- and Trimethylsilyl-Containing Phenoxy−Imine Ti Complex for Highly Syndiotactic Living Polypropylenes with Extremely High Melting Temperatures

A fluorine- and trimethylsilyl-containing phenoxy-imine titanium complex was synthesized and the structure was determined by an X-ray analysis. The complex on activation with MAO initiates highly controlled syndiospecific living propylene polymerization to form extremely high Tm syndiotactic polypropylenes (Mw/Mn = 1.05−1.08, Tm = 156−152 °C) at 0 or 25 °C. Moreover, at 50 °C, the complex afforded monodisperse syndiotactic polypropylene with very high Tm's of 149, 150 °C. In contrast, complex...

Bimetallic Reactivity. One-Site Addition Two-Metal Oxidation Reaction of Dioxygen with a Bimetallic Dicobalt(II) Complex Bearing Five- and Six-Coordinate Sites

The di-Co2+ complex, [Co2+(μ-OH)(oxapyme)Co2+(H2O)]+, contains an unsymmetrical binucleating ligand (oxapyme) which provides five- and six-coordinate metal sites when a hydroxide bridge is introduced. This complex absorbs 1 equiv of O2 irreversibly in solution, producing an unstable di-Co3+ oxygenated product. The oxygenated product has been studied at low temperatures, where its electronic absorption and 1H NMR spectra were recorded. It is probable that the oxygenation reaction i...

Properties of hadronic final states in diffractive deep inelastic ep scattering at HERA

DESY-HERA. Measurement of event shape distributions (THRUST and SPHERICITY)and the energy flow distributions of hadronic events produced diffractively in collisions of 27.5 GeV positrons with 820 GeV protons. The events are characterised by having a large rapidity gap between the recoil-proton system and the produced hadronic system. Diffractive events are defined as those with a recoil-proton of momentum & gt; 97% of the initial proton momentum. The data was collected during the 1997 running...

Structure of the Deoxymyoglobin Model [Fe(TPP)(2-MeHIm)] Reveals Unusual Porphyrin Core Distortions

The preparation and characterization of the deoxymyoglobin model (2-methylimidazole)(tetraphenylporphinato)iron(II) is described. The preparation and crystallization from chlorobenzene leads to a new crystalline phase that has been structurally characterized. The complex is the most ordered example of a deoxymyoglobin model yet characterized. The X-ray structure determination reveals a number of distortions both in the iron coordination group and in the porphyrin core that result fro...

Multijets in photoproduction at HERA

C. Gwenlan (2002)
Publisher: Acta Phys.Polon. B33 (2002) 3123-3128
DESY-HERA. Cross sections for the photoproduction of events containing four high ET jets. These data were presented at the DIS2002 workshop and the numbers here are taken from the hztool routine hzi02849.F. The data come from the 1996-1997 running period with a total integrated luminosity of 38.7pb-1. Jets are defined using the kT algorithm in the inclusive mode.
