Natality Detail File, 1974: [United States]

United States Department of Health and Human Services: National Center for Health Statistics (2002)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
This collection provides information on live births in the United States during calendar year 1974. The natality data in this file are a component of the vital statistics collection effort maintained by the federal government. Geographic variables of residence for births include the state, county, city, county and city population, standard metropolitan statistical area (SMSA), and metropolitan/nonmetropolitan county. Other variables specify the race and sex of the child, the age of the mother...

Aging of Veterans of the Union Army: Surgeons' Certificates, Version S-1 Standardized, 1862-1940

Fogel, Robert W. (2002)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
This data collection constitutes a portion of the historical data collected by the project "Early Indicators of Later Work Levels, Disease, and Death." With the goal of constructing datasets suitable for longitudinal analyses of factors affecting the aging process, the project collects military, medical, and socioeconomic data on a sample of white males mustered into the Union Army during the Civil War. The surgeons' certificates contain information from examining physicians to determine elig...

Measurement of the hadronic cross-section for the scattering of two virtual photons at LEP

No Author Available (2002)
Publisher: Eur.Phys.J. C24 (2002) 17-31
CERN-LEP. Measurement of the cross section for hadron production in double tagged two photon events from E+ E- interactions at centre-of-mass energies from 189 to 209 GeV. The data were collected in the period 1998 to 2000 and have an integrated luminosity of 592.9 pb-1. Both scattered electrons are detected in the small angle silicon-tungsten (SW) luminometer.

Measurement of the b quark fragmentation function in Z0 decays

SLAC-SLC. Measurement of the b-quark fragmentation function in Z0 decays from E+ E- interactions. The datacome from the 1997 and 1998 running of the SLC from 350000 hadronic Z0 events. UPDATE (05 MAY 2016): Replaced Table 1 with corrected numbers given in Erratum (and moved original Table 1 to current Table 2).

National Prosecutors Survey [Census], 2001

United States Department of Justice. Office of Justice Programs. Bureau of Justice Statistics (2002)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
The National Survey of Prosecutors is a survey of chief prosecutors in state court systems. It was previously conducted in 1990, 1992, 1994, and 1996 (ICPSR 9579, 6273, 6785, 2433 respectively). For 2001, instead of a survey of chief prosecutors, a census of all 2,341 chief prosecutors who handled felony cases in state courts of general jurisdiction was conducted. A chief prosecutor is an official, usually locally elected and typically with the title of district attorney or county attorney, w...

Properties of hadronic final states in diffractive deep inelastic ep scattering at HERA

DESY-HERA. Measurement of event shape distributions (THRUST and SPHERICITY)and the energy flow distributions of hadronic events produced diffractively in collisions of 27.5 GeV positrons with 820 GeV protons. The events are characterised by having a large rapidity gap between the recoil-proton system and the produced hadronic system. Diffractive events are defined as those with a recoil-proton of momentum & gt; 97% of the initial proton momentum. The data was collected during the 1997 running...

Natality Detail File, 1971: [United States]

United States Department of Health and Human Services: National Center for Health Statistics (2002)
Publisher: ICPSR - Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research
This collection provides information on live births in the United States during calendar year 1971. The natality data in this file are a component of the vital statistics collection effort maintained by the federal government. Variables specify place of birth, race and sex of the child, weight at birth and birth order, number of other children born alive or dead, person in attendance at birth, as well as mother's and father's age, race, and education.
