  • Comparison of costs of rehabilitation works on Central Mine Waste Bank of Jan Šverma Mine in Žacléř

This article pays particular attention to the evaluation of costs associated with the rehabilitation of the Central Mine Waste Bank of the Jan Šverma Mine in individual years. It mentions briefly the present state of the Central Mine Waste Bank and describes in short the works performed so far on the mine waste bank. Numerické metódy – III

This contribution deals with giving a possible most simplified view on one of the most frequently used numerical methods – Boundary Element Method (BEM). However, after reading the previous related papers the reader would be able to realize the adequate model by-hand, this time the relative complicate integral formulations probably will not allow to do the same. In spite of this we hope that the principles of this method will also be presented clearly and could be understand.

Effect of calcination temperature and calcination time on the Kaolinite/TiO2 composite for photocatalytic reduction of CO2

The kaolinite/TiO2 composite (60 wt% of TiO2) was prepared by thermal hydrolysis of a raw kaolin suspension in titanyl sulphate and calcined at different temperatures (600, 650 and 700°C) and for different times (1, 2 and 3 h). The obtained samples were characterized by XRPD, N2 physical adsorption and SEM, and tested for photocatalytic reduction of CO2. The different calcination conditions did not influence TiO2 phase composition, only slightly changed the specific surface area, and signific...

Dopady znovuzavedení půdy do klidu na produkci a příjmy zemědělců v ČR

The creation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reflected the situation after the Second World War, when the states of the European Community were unable to ensure a sufficient level of production. However, the mechanism of the CAP caused extreme overproduction. One of the regulatory measures was the set-aside of a stated percentage of agricultural land. This was accompanied by subsidies to compensate for the loss of the production. This measure – originally voluntary, but la...

Opportunities for water treatment sludge re-use

This paper deals with the sludge that is produced within the treatment of water and production of drinking water. When alumina and iron coagulants are used for coagulation and clarification of surface water, mainly alumina and iron sludge are produced. This paper describes possible alumina recovery in the water treatment procedure and re-use of sludge for treatment of municipal wastewater. The sludge can be also used for production of cement. All those actions decrease the quantity of wastes ...
