Представленные в специальной литературе данные свидетельствуют о высокой эффективности применения электрохимически активированной воды (ЭХАВ) в сельском хозяйстве, но механизм ее влияния на биологические объекты практически не описан. Мы изучали влияние предпосевной обработки семян амаранта хвостатого Amaranthus caudatus L. ЭХАВ на активность дыхательных ферментов, содержание субстратов, энергию прорастания и силу роста. Установлено, что физико-химические изменения, происходящие в воде в результате электролиза, индуцируют в семенах различные метаболические процессы. Высокое содержание растворимых сахаров на фоне анаэробиоза в вариантах со смесью католита с анолитом и католитом способствует развитию гликолитических процессов, а накопленный пул метаболитов позволяет использовать их в более разнообразных химических превращениях. Повышенное содержание гормонов ускоряет ростовые процессы, обеспечивает усиленное деление и растяжение клеток, интенсивное прохождение начальных стадий развития растения (увеличение энергии прорастания и силы роста семян).
