В обзоре представлены сведения о физико-химических свойствах и основных направлениях использования микрокристаллической целлюлозы в связи со структурно-морфологическими особенностями ее частиц. Подробно рассмотрены биомедицинские области применения микрокристаллической целлюлозы — производство лекарственных форм и создание нетоксичных биорезорбируемых материалов медицинского назначения. Показано, что основными факторами, определяющими области применения микрокристаллической целлюлозы, являются морфологические свойства частиц, высокоразвитая поверхность и физиологическая инертность.
