The way of determination of spectrophotometric method of formylated phloroglucinol compounds in the leaves of  Eucalyptus viminalis was developed. The relative error of determination doesn´t exceed 2,4%. The relation between the level of formylated phloroglucinol compounds determined by the developed method and antibacterial activity of extracts containing them is shown.
