Современный период в изучении каменного века западной части Центральной Азии характеризуется расширением набора исследовательских приемов при анализе комплексов верхнего палеолита. Однако такой значимый для определения технологического контекста каменных индустрий параметр, как используемая техника скола, прежде не был объектом рассмотрения. Целью данной работы является определение техники скола при изготовлении пластинчатых заготовок в комплексах слоев 4, 2 стоянки Додекатым-2 (правый приток р. Чаткал, Ташкентская обл., Республика Узбекистан). В исследовании проанализированы морфологические и метрические признаки проксимальных зон заготовок. К ним относятся: тип площадки, разновидность редукции рабочей кромки, скошенность площадки, наличие или отсутствие вентрального карниза, ширина и толщина площадки. В результате была выявлена технологическая особенность, свойственная только позднему этапу кульбулакской верхнепалеолитической культуры: в исследованных индустриях большинство сколов были получены путем прямого или опосредованного удара мягким отбойником.
