This article shows results of the exploration of the fuels watering reasons. The first problemwhich was recognised is analysis of the water in fuels phase transition. The exploration hasrevealed that vapor pressure is mostly informative criteria of fuels watering, if reason is waterin few conditions. Another problem which article shows is imperfections of investigated characteristicsf or phase’s changes in fuel. It was analyzed characteristics of dissolved water infuels. Article shows that the most rational for fuel watering diagnosing is character of waterevaporation which shows velocity of phase transfer from water to vapor. Досліджено фазові переходи води у паливах. Проаналізовано перебіг випаровування, конденсації та замерзання води. Визначено критерії, що впливають навміст води в паливі в різних станах. Запропоновано характеристики для моделювання фазових переходів води у паливах.
