Стаття присвячена вивченню інтердискурсивних особливостей вербалізації концепту AIRPORT у літературно-художньому творі. Концепт AIRPORT розглядається як складне ментальне утворення у єдності його понятійного, ціннісного та образного компонентів. Ім‘ям концепту є лексема airport, приядерну сферу формують такі уточнюючі концепти, як: AREA, AIRCRAFT, RUNWAYS, TERMINAL, MAINTENANCE FACILITIES, AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE та PASSENGER FACILITIES. Основні теоретичні положення проілюстровано на прикладі вербалізації базового концепту AIRPORT і концептів приядерної сфери AREA й AIRCRAFT. Доведено, що концепт AIRPORT відіграє провідну роль у семантико-когнітивній організації твору, а широка палітра мовних засобів його експлікації допомагає відтворити особливості як об‘єктивної картини світу, так і художньої авторської картини світу, та наблизити їх до читача. Статья посвящена изучению интердискурсивных особенностей вербализации концепта AIRPORT в литературно-художественном произведении. Концепт AIRPORT рассматривается как сложное ментальное образование в единстве его понятийного, оценочного и образного компонентов. Лексема airport выступает именем концепта, а приядерная сфера включает концепты: AREA, AIRCRAFT, RUNWAYS, TERMINAL, MAINTENANCE FACILITIES, AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE и PASSENGER FACILITIES. Основные теоретические положения статьи проиллюстрированы на примере вербализации базового концепта AIRPORT и концептов приядерной сферы AREA и AIRCRAFT. Концепту AIRPORT отведена основная роль в семантико-когнитивной организации произведения, а широкая палитра вербальных средств его экспликации помогает более точно отобразить особенности, как объективной картины, так и художественной авторской картины мира, и приблизить их к читателю. The article deals with the research of the interdiscursive aspects of the verbalization of the concept AIRPORT in the work of fiction. The analysis is implemented on the linguistic material of the novel ―Airport‖ by A. Hailey. The concept AIRPORT is analyzed as a complex mental unit in full capacity of its notional, evaluative, and image-based components. The basic concept is nominated by the lexeme airport, and the near-nuclear sphere includes the following explanatory concepts: AREA, AIRCRAFT, RUNWAYS, TERMINAL, MAINTENANCE FACILITIES, AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE, and PASSENGER FACILITIES. The main theoretical statements of the research are illustrated by the examples of the verbal explication of the basic concept AIRPORT and the first two concepts of the near-nuclear sphere: AREA and AIRCRAFT. For instance, the verbal basis of the basic concept‘s explication includes: a lexeme (airport), a proper name (Lincoln International Airport, Illinois), a stylistically marked comparison (a center of civilization like an airport), and an indirect comparison in the form of an advertising slogan (the airport's immodest slogan, LINCOLN INTERNATIONAL – AVIATION CROSSROADS OF THE WORLD). All these verbal means create the semantic-and-cognitive field of the basic concept and participate in the formation of a stylistically marked context of the professional environment of the airport, in which the events of the novel are taking place. The results of the research have proved that the concept AIRPORT plays a key role in the structure of the novel: firstly, it actualizes the professional environment the events of the novel are taking place in; secondly, the diversified verbal basis of its nomination enriches the texture of the novel; thirdly, the nominative field of the concept AIRPORT includes numerous nominations of the technical objects and characteristics verbalized by the terms from the subfield of aviation and air transportation. Thus, the concept AIRPORT plays the leading part in the semantic-and- cognitive organization of the novel, a rich palette of the verbal means of its explication helps to present the characteristics of both the objective model of the world and the writer‘s individual model of the world represented in the novel, and bring both of them closer to the reader.
