To mark Glasgow Women’s Library’s 21st anniversary, the Library commissioned 21 women artists and 21 women writers to create new work inspired by items and artefacts in their collections. The exhibition took place at the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, (September 2012) and subsequently went to the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh (July - September 2013) and Creative Scotland, Edinburgh (March - April 2014)\ud \ud The 21 Revolutions publication (launched in March 2014), brings together the work of these 21 women artists and 21 of Scotland’s foremost women writers, along with the GWL collection items that inspired them, together with specially commissioned essays.
