The pluralistic approach to counselling and psychotherapy (Cooper & McLeod, 2011) has created\ud controversy in the therapy world but has yet to be explored as a coaching approach. This paper\ud examines coaches' attitudes towards its potential for coaching. Practicing coaches were given a stepped\ud introduction to the approach. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five participants.\ud Transcripts of the interviews were analysed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (Smith,\ud Flowers & Larkin, 2009). Findings suggested that there is a case to be made for the introduction of\ud pluralistic coaching but that a number of modifications should be considered in how the approach is\ud presented.\ud Keywords: Coaching, Psychotherapy, Schoolism, Pluralism, Collaboration
