Jane Topping's The Women: 8 Films was screened as part of DISCORDIA: Generation 25 Years of Contemporary Art in Scotland. The screening took place at The Poetry Club in Glasgow. The DISCORDIA series of events included performances, live music and limited edition t-shirts by twenty contemporary artists (including Jane Topping) involved with Patricia Fleming Projects from the early 90's to the present. \ud DISCORDIA celebrated the 'DIY and 'lo-fi' approach instrumental to the rise of artist-led activity in Glasgow. The selection highlighted the contribution made by artists and Patricia Fleming Projects to today's important contemporary arts sector, from 'Fuse'; free studios in the 90's to curated projects for local and international events. Glasgow's position as an important centre of contemporary art production has grown from a diverse ‘grass-roots’ artistic community.
